I’ve never been a big fan of remixes.

There’s only ever been a couple of officially commissioned remixes of Ekoplekz music, but on a few occasions I have agreed to undertake a remix (or ‘Replekz’ as I pretentiously liked to call them), either as a favour or for money. The most I ever got paid for a replekz was £500 (can you guess which one that was for??).

Some of these tracks made it onto vinyl records, lathe cuts, cassettes or CDs. Some were just exclusive digital promos. One was rejected. Some of the artists are very well-known, others deeply obscure. All were produced over a period spanning roughly 2010-2022. It is unlikely I will do any more.

So here is, to the best of my recollections, the definitive Replekz collection. It does not follow a strict chronological order. To my ears, it makes for a surprisingly cohesive listen, bearing in mind the diverse range of talent subjected to my lo-fi dabblings.

All tracks are original master recordings from my archives, except one which I couldn’t find and ended up recording from a vinyl copy.
